A key architectural feature of the space is a modern steel and wood cantilever over a custom BBQ island.  This structure not only offers much-needed relief from the sun but also casts dramatic, shifting shadows throughout the day—adding visual depth and interest. At night, built-in LED strips integrated into the beams create a warm, ambient glow, ideal for evening gatherings. To soften the modern edges and infuse the space with sensory appeal, fragrant jasmine climbs up the sides of the frame, offering a sweet, natural aroma. On either side are raised herb and vegetable beds that provide fresh ingredients within arm’s reach, perfect for spontaneous garden-to-grill meals or fresh garnishes for cocktails.

Along the side yard, fruiting vines climb along vertical supports, maximizing greenery without sacrificing space, and offering seasonal produce for the homeowners to enjoy.
